Professor Bruce Dunphy is an integral part of our health care team and is dedicated to providing you with outstanding treatment through his vast experience and knowledge. Professor Dunphy joined Monash IVF in September 2008. He has worked in the field of infertility and IVF for over 20 years and is a subspecialist in Reproductive Gynaecology and Infertility, holding the Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He has a research doctorate in the area of male infertility (Andrology). Bruce has published widely on a number of topics including IVF, infertility surgery, keyhole surgery, male infertility, outcomes from infertility treatments, quality
assurance, approaches to medical training and education.
Bruce initially trained in the United Kingdom in centres such as Oxford, St. Mary’s Hospital in London and the Harris Birthright Centre for Reproductive Medicine. His current and past academic appointments include being a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Australian and North American Universities, a Professor of Medical Education and a Conjoint Professor of Education. He has also been a chief of service for Infertility, IVF and Gynaecology at two prestigious North American teaching hospitals, and a Director of an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Program in Australia.
