Marilyn has been practising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in rural Victoria for more than 20 years. After graduating through Monash and Queen Victoria Hospital her postgraduate studies were in Capetown, South Africa and Houston,Texas.
The first few years in private practice were in Traralgon doing general O&G, and the last 16 years have been in Ballarat where she has recently subspecialized to IVF and Ultrasound.
Over the last two years she has been also travelling to Geelong to perform the scans on Monash IVF patients as well as to help out with IVFprocedures.
In 2008 Dr Fooks was instrumental in opening the Geelong Ultrasound for Women in conjunction with a well known Ultrasonograhper. This practice now provides ultrasound services for all IVF patients from baseline gynaecological scans until the end-of-pregnancy scans giving continuity for patients and including genetic counselling and procedures if required.
She has recently moved to Drysdale to live and commutes back to Ballarat for her longstanding patients there.
